The Dinner Plain Polo is the longest-running polo event in Australia run by Castran Real Estate. The yearly match pits the Cuff n Collars against the Geebung Polo team, recreating Banjo Patterson's famous poem "The Geebung Polo Club".

I created the branding for the 2024 Dinner Plain Polo in an attempt to evoke a classic feel using British Racing Green - a deep and rich shade of green, that originated in the early 20th. The colour became iconic in motorsport and has an association with speed, heritage and tradition.

Images from the polo game were taken by The Canon Cowgirl.

The Dinner Plain Polo Shirts

The polo shirts were designed to evoke a classic feel and to contrast against the Geebung polo club's utilitarian bushwear - bright white and British racing green was used to achieve this, making the cuff and collar team stand out not only from their opponents but also the surrounding farmland.

The designs for the shirts were created in Adobe Illustrator, and printed using a sublimation process.

Dinner Plain Polo Signage

Designing signage for the Dinner Plain Polo involved several key steps to ensure it effectively communicated the event's theme and directed the audience to purchase tickets.

The process began with outlining the event's goals, audience, while adhering to the branding of other collateral. Multiple concepts were then refined in Adobe Indesign.

Collaboration with the client was crucial to meet their vision and requirements. One of the images use on the final the signage wasn't ideal, but the client was insistent on including it. Once finalised, the 1820x2440mm signage was produced and installed around Dinner Plain and at Cobungra Station.
